Virginia City and Inversion Fog

Unfortunately, this entire post is backward and I am too tired to fix it all. So if you would like it make sense, you should start from the bottom and work your way up :)

Brandon wanted to this picture of how they dump gold into the cart...

Mining for gold...

This little car parked under the gutter and it just got beat all day long. You can't really see the water but it was pouring directly onto the cars hood the whole time we were there.

Old mean in cowboy clothes....looks like Love Valley to me!

Check out the gutter system...

Brandon and Amy laughed at how crooked the building to the left was...

They had lots of pictures taken at this bar over the last 150 years, it was cool to see.

They had a casino in the bar...

A neat cabinet filled with old bottles and stuff that Brandon liked...

This was an infamous table where lots of men had lost their fortunes (one even an entire mine) and the killed themselves at the table after realizing what they had done...

Cool hat....

We visited Virginia City on Sunday. It is a 19th century settlement located between Denver and San Fransisco. It was a mining town.

On the way up, we ran into some inversion fog, which I think Amy explained to me as when the air is colder than the ground. It only happens about 5 days out of the year and so far it has happened every day that we have been here! And although beautiful, it blocks the view and makes for difficult driving.

This was one of many pictures take beside the road. We just pulled off the highway and took a picture...
